Burnsville Pride Event
Saturday September 19
11:00 am to 4:00 pm
The Open and Affirming Team has secured a booth at the Burnsville Pride Event this year. It is happening on Saturday September 19
th from 11:00 am till 4:00pm. We have a tent, we have a prize wheel of fortune, we have swag and now we are looking for booth hosts.
Please consider donating a few hours of time to be a New Spirit ambassador to interact with folks attending the Pride Festival that might be looking for a safe and accepting place to worship. It is always a fun way to connect to the LGBTQ+ community, people watch and say great things about our church!

What is Beacon Interfaith Housing? How can you be Involved?
Sunday, September 20, immediately after worship.
Anna Stamborksi is Director of Congregational Development at Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative
Anna will present an overview of Beacon including their direct action to provide supportive housing and their legislative efforts to ensure government funding for ending homelessness in Minnesota. Anna will also address the many way to become involved with Beacon both as an individual and as a congregation.
Many of you may be familiar with Beacon from New Spirit’s support of their efforts to create Prairie Point, a forty unit development in Shakopee (now fully occupied!). Come and learn more about who they are and what they do.
Come celebrate Rally Sunday at New Spirit
September 13, beginning at 10AM!
We’ll “craft” cool projects with Lori and make our own yummy ice cream sundaes with Don. We’ll sing “Halle, Halle, Halle” with Candy and the choir, and worship together lead by Pastor Jeanne.
Here at New Spirit, everybody is unique and yet, we all fit together!
Download this jigsaw puzzle piece and boldly decorate it with your first name and all the glitter and artsy stuff you want to put on it, hopefully, to reflect your uniqueness. Cut the shape out. It works best if you put the puzzle piece on tagboard or cardstock paper. On Rally Day, we will put the puzzle pieces together on our main bulletin board with the title “Everybody is unique and we all fit together!” Note there is a right side up and down.
My Cup Runneth Over Book Study
Begins Thursday, October 1st at 6:30pm
Pastor Jeanne will begin the book study on “My Cup Runneth Over” By Chad Bird. This book study will continue throughout the month of October. It will be hosted over church zoom.

Free community meal 12:30, sign in at 1 p.m., Walk begins at 2 p.m.
Multi-church bake sale, music, activities
This is a family-friendly event. Pets are welcome if they are leashed.
The longer route is approximately 3 miles, with a shorter option of less than 1 mile. Help keep us “green” by bringing your own refillable water bottle; fill stations will be available at the beginning and the half-way point
